Monsday, August 30, 2010 We officially say goodbye to our faithful volunteers our Reading today. Pray that God will provide a new group of volunteers for us in Dallas. Thursday, August 26, 2010 We’re going office furniture shopping today! Praise the Lord with us for the many doors who have graciously provided for over half the tables and chairs needed for the new Training Center, and pray that remaining 74 chairs and 16 tables will be provided for soon. Monday, August 23, 2010 Twelve air conditioning units are being installed on the roof today; pray for safety for all workers involved. Friday, August 20, 2010 Praise God with us that we received the funds to pay for several of the larger items we need for the Training Center, including the ventilation hood for over the dishwasher, a commercial icemaker and all the furniture we need for the breakout room! Also, please pray that we will have power in the building soon; we’ve run into some issues with the electrical work. Ask that these issues will not delay the completion of construction. Wednesday, August 18, 2010 Update on God's provision and what we still need Praise God with us that he has already provided for:
To be ready for our first training program, scheduled in October, we still need:
Monday, August 16, 2010 Read more about the Patrick and Mary Ann Cate Training Center, and how your donation can help facilitate Christar missionary training. Friday, August 6, 2010 Praise God with us that we received our building permit for the Training Center kitchen this week! We’re making progress on the new bathrooms and the electrical work is moving along. Please continue to pray that the construction will be completed on schedule! Thursday, August 5, 2010 As God continues to lead Christar to Texas, we like to present stories of His faithfulness. Why Move recounts how God led us to sell our building in Reading, Pennsylvania and how He provided the new building in Richardson, Texas. The Miller Story and the Luna Story are two examples of God's faithfulness and sovereignty in providing homes for our staff members in Texas. Thursday, July 29, 2010 The framing for all partitions will be completed today and our plumber is on schedule with the kitchen and bathrooms. Friday, July 16, 2010 We’re pouring concrete today—please pray for this task to go smoothly and for safety for the many workers in our building. Thursday, July 15, 2010 We have water! Pipes have been installed and the water is turned on. Praise God with us for his blessing so far! Wednesday, July 14, 2010 It’s been a busy week so far! We’re excited that demolition is finished and construction is underway! Electricians have begun working throughout the building and the installation of our heating and cooling system has begun. Over the last few days we picked out paint, tile, carpets, finishes for cabinetry, so we’re getting an idea of how the finished product will look. Tuesday, July 13, 2010

But we hadn’t seen anything yet!
The current plans call for completion of these renovations on September 8, 2010. We are trusting God to provide the $100,000 needed to complete the kitchen, movable wall and furnishings for the training center. back to christar.org |
